Avoid Buffets During Pregnancy?!

I ❤ Old Country Buffet . It would just suck if I MUST absolutely avoid it at all cost during this pregnancy..

If you don't mind risking eating foods that could be kept at improper temperatures that have had dozens of people walking by, sneezing, coughing, and probably touching, then go for it!

Buffets give me the heebie jeebies, so I avoid any way.

Go for it! I never understood why pregnant women make a big fuss over the "banned" items. The last listeria outbreak was with cucumbers and bluebell ice cream, and eating at a sit down restaurant is really no different than eating at a buffet... Waiter/waitress hands get awfully close to your food and they touch around the edges of your plate And most time that plate washed in an industrial dishwasher which isn't getting it all that clean.

Idk... Then again I'm not one to follow food rules lol I eat sushi, I eat subs and sandwiches  regularly, and I eat soft cheeses lol

After suffering a loss due to chorio infection at 23 weeks, I myself wouldnt risk it... Ihad an overgrowth of e. Coli and Strep B that breeched the cervix and amniotic sac and caused preterm laborbof my son at an unviable age.. Not worth it in my opinion..

As long as you are eating healthy - ish and the foods are heated/cooled to the proper temperatures, I don't see a problem. I'm pregnant and went to a Chinese buffet two weeks ago.

Ugh, do whatever. I will warn you off the fish though.

I just say ugh because the thought of food still makes me want to puke at 20 weeks. But you eat it and enjoy.
