Went to the bathroom and wiped. Noticed a little bit of bright red blood. Wiped again to check and a little more blood. No discharge with either wipe. I was worried so called the nurse. She said it could be my mucus plug starting (watch for discharge/mucus) or to watch for contractions (5 mins apart) or an increase in bleeding as the day goes on. I am not sure if I passed my mucus plug because just over a week ago, I had a good amount of discharge (no bloody show) one morning and haven't had hardly any discharge this pregnancy. Few Braxton hicks but nothing consistent. Last Thursday I was a finger tip dilated and only 50% effaced. (Been that way for 2 appts a week apart). My husband and I had sex Sunday night to help things progress so it's been over 36 hours. I am trying for a VBAC and with my last pregnancy I never dilated or had labor symptoms (delivered at 36 weeks via c section) so this is all new to me. Anyone experienced this and/or went into labor shortly after?
