Someone wanted religious discussions here, so:

Harper

While camping, I was discussing religion with my boyfriend's family (including his grandmother who's a devote christian, feels sorry for me because I'm an atheist, and called the gothic way me and my boyfriend dress retarded because she associates the style with satanism. Fun. 🙄) That aside, we eventually got to the point where we debated the christian idea of Satan. My boyfriend said Satan is not evil, because he punishes the evil people. His grandmother said he is evil because he convinces people to do evil. (Then she started talking about how God controls all our moral decisions and Satan controls all our immoral decisions and all I could imagine was the little angel and demon on your shoulders that you'd see in an old cartoon. 😂) So, I want to know what my fellow non-christians think about the Christian idea of Satan. Do you think that if he was actually real, he'd be evil, or just doing his job?

(I'll admit that I admitted to his grandmother that if the christian beliefs were proven to be true, that I would become a satanist because I think of the christian god as a sadistic narcissist. Couldn't resist, especially after she said she felt sorry for me for being an atheist.)
