Left side of face went numb

Has anyone ever experienced one side of their face going numb or falling asleep? Is this common?

I was sleeping on my left side and was woke up to the left side of my face prickling and tingling like the pins and needles feeling. It scared me as I’ve never heard of your face possibly falling asleep. I’ve heard of your extremities falling asleep but never the face. So I sat straight up in bed and grabbed my phone to look in the camera and make sure the left side of my face wasn’t sagging. Everything looked fine. I just kept rubbing my face on the left side until the pins and needles feeling stopped. I’m 22 weeks pregnant so I’ve been trying to sleep on my sides a lot. Waking up to one side of your face being numb is not a great feeling. Though I was having a mini stroke at age 24😅

I’m sure it was because I slept on my left side too long probably? Could it be a pinched nerve?
