posting baby photos and name on social media

so, what negatives can come from this? i notice an old friend who i don’t chat with much anymore doesn’t post her baby’s face on her social media. it’s always photos of her holding her child and you see the back of the child’s head only. no name mentioned either. i understand it’s for privacy, but what is she protecting her child from? i’d like to know so i can decide whether or not i want to post my baby’s newborn pics and name on social media.
