My bf and I broke up over something so dumb

So do you think it is unfair for a woman to get mad if her bf don’t text/call her everyday. My bf and I communicate everyday through text/phone calls, but there are few days where he wouldn’t talk to me. What do y’all think? Is that childish of the woman.
