Margarine or butter during pregnancy?

I've heard better is not to eat margarine because it has dangerous components. I just finished one small box of Flora Original without knowing even it's a margarine. I never used to use butter products on my sandwiches but I had this craving and, well, I hope nothing bad will happen now.

A thousand times butter. No one ever should eat margarine, it is a chemical mess that alters cell membrane health. Try to buy grass fed butter so that it is rich in omega 3 and doesn't contain as many toxins as conventional grain fed butter (animals store toxins in fat so the best quality is best). Even time magazine had an article last year about how butter was wrongly demonized.

Margarine is pretty much all chemicals and crap if you read the ingredients. I stopped using it years ago. The little fat that I get out of the butter I feel is way healthier since its natural than eating a man made synthetic.

Butter for sure. Margarine is total crap. However, if you're looking for a healthy and tasty cow butter substitute, I highly reccomend the brand "earth balance". They make regular butter but that also make lactose free vegan butter that is plant based. Super delicious! Love it!

I've never heard that before, since been pregnant I crave jacket potatoes & I put ALOT of butter on it because that's the way I like itttt😍 38 weeks tomorrow & my baby is still fine x

I dont eat either but the elders in my family actually said later on in your pregnancy to have warm milk every night with a teaspoon of butter in it. Im not sure what it does but im sure they must have said it for a reason. Margarine overall is not good for you regardless so try to avoid it and go for the unsalted butter.
