Husband called me a entitled bitch

I’ll try to make this short.

So we booked a mini family vacation from Thursday to Sunday back in March. It’s coming up (July 18). So I went out to the living room to discuss it with my husband. He was playing his car racing video game. I tell him that I know I had agreed to pay for the hotel and he pay the rest but a month ago my car got hit and got totaled. So I had to use $3000 of my saved up money for a down payment on another car. So now I have been struggling to save any money since then. I have been playing catch up. I told him I can only afford to pay half of the hotel. Mind you my husband makes $37 an hour. I only make $13 an hour. And he has like $10,000 in his account. We have two kids who have been excited about this trip. He tells me if I can’t pay half we are not going. He said that he gave me $1,000 to help with the down payment on my car which is true. I didn’t ask for that but I appreciated that very much since he never does stuff like that . But now I will never live that down. He said he just gave me that $1000 for my car and now I want money for this vacation. That I am a entitled bitch and I think that just because i have a hole between my legs that I don’t have to pay for anything. (Even though we split all bills and groceries.). He said I’m a typical woman. Just a dumb bitch who thinks everything should be handed to me. I explain that this isnt just for me it’s for our family to go make memories together . We have never been on a family vacation ever and our kids are 8 and 9. And it’s only for a weekend. I mention how he has $10,000 in his account and I only have $130 in mine. He tells me actually he has way more than $10,000 in his and it doesn’t matter if he has $30,000 because it’s his money and what he decides to do with it is up to him. I tell him we are married therefore it’s suppose to be both of our money. He laughs and says “I don’t give a fuck if we are married My money will never be your money and when I spend money I want to buy stuff that benefits me not some stupid vacation that no one will remember”.

He then messes up in his video game and screams at me saying I caused him to mess up and screams for me to get the fuck out of the living room , leave him alone and cancel vacation and that he hates my fucking guts. The whole time I was talking in a very calm voice all while he was yelling and calling me names. Finally I say okay I will cancel the vacation and walk out. He then comes to the bedroom and is ordering me to tell him I’m sorry. I refused because I don’t think I did anything wrong. He said I started the fight and that I talked to him horrible. Huh ? Is it to much to ask him to pay more than half for vacation even though he gave me $1000 to help with the down payment on my car ??

I recorded the entire conversation just in case I would never need it.
