Does the size of your belly determine the size of your baby?

My coworker told me that im gunna have a big baby since im all belly. I dont know wether to be offended or worried but i feel that people dont know what they are saying to a pregnant woman somtimes 😑

Doctors and midwifes use your fundal height as a measurement of growth, which is just basically how long your uterus is. So I guess technically yes the size correlates, but there’s other stuff going on. Placenta, amniotic fluid, our organs are squished, etc.

Not true my cousin was about average with her first he was born 6 pounds 13 ounces tiny with her second she was born 6 pounds 6 ounces and huge with her third he was born 6 pounds 13 ounces

Nope. I was GIGANTIC with my first baby. A swollen puffy mess bc I had high blood pressure. My baby was 5 pounds at birth 😑

Wondering the same thing.. my other ten I gained 35-40 pounds with each of them and was massive this time I’ve lost 7 snd only gained back 1lb.. and not near as big both of my others were 8.5-9lbs at birth.. very interested to see what this guys measurements are
