Neighbor keeps complaining about noise

My neighbor apparently moved in about three days ago. Out of those three days he has come upstairs to our door to complain about our noise level. His English isn’t the best but from what he’s attempted to tell us the problem is mainly our floor. Well, the apartment we live at isn’t the greatest if you can imagine and really the floorboard creak very loudly. The last time he came up to our apartment was at eleven at night and said someone was making a lot of noise moving around in the bedroom area. At that time, I was in the bedroom dusting off furniture but I don’t believe I was making much noise beside moving (so I guess the floor was making a lot of noise). I have no problem adjusting my noise level for this person however it seems like past 11pm my boyfriend and I literally have to tip toe around. Honestly, that’s not the best situation. I’m not sure what to do at this point since it’s so early in him moving in but I feel maybe I should say something to the office manager? Again, We both have no problem adjusting our noise level but the issue with that is my boyfriend works late shifts and as a result we’re up late at night and sleep until the afternoon. At that point then, sometimes we stay up in the room since it’s the only room with a TV. Aside from that, whenever we try to have sex it’s really awkward because we’re aware of the noise we make on the bed. Just a couple of minutes ago, for example, my boyfriend came home and we had sex. Right after the guy below was banging hard on his ceiling. I feel really bad he can’t sleep but at the same time I don’t really know what to do because clearly there are different work and life schedules conflicting. What would you do?
