When I should have my baby shower 😫

I wanted to have the shower before the baby was born so my bestie could be there. She goes to work in the beginning of September and will likely miss the baby! My mom says it's stupid to have it before the baby is born because I'm not finding out the gender. I just cant decide anymore, I thought I had my mind made up...🙄

I voted before , especially of this is your first baby so you can get some stuff to better take care of baby. Gender doesnt matter, people can buy gender neutral colors/ items.

I’d rather receive neutral items that can be reused so we’re not revealing the gender until after the shower. Also, if you have a girl people tend to give A LOT of clothes that you may not even need all of.

Definitely before! You’re more likely to get practical items if people don’t know the gender and your BFF needs to be there!

Before! That way you have stuff you'll need and use right away (diapers, formula etc). All clothing that is neutral can be exchanged if you dont like them.

There’s so many gifts you could be given that have nothing to do with the sex of the baby. I’d have it before the baby comes and hopefully people are smart enough to stay away from anything gender specific.

We aren’t finishing out our baby’s gender and I’m having a shower BEFORE baby is born. Register for neutral things and get neutral clothing. I’m sure people will buy gender specific things AFTER the baby is born!

I would want to do it before. You don’t know how you’ll feel after the baby comes and if people are giving gifts you’ll want to get stuff before the baby comes.

Before! Although I have been to some cute “Sip & See’s” which are basically baby showers post baby that everyone can come drink and see baby.

We are finding out the gender of the baby at birth and are having a shower before the baby is born.  Not knowing the gender will mean you will receive gender neutral items.  Definitely was not a consideration for us.
