Do women really find a good man after an Abusive man ?

Who out there was in an abusive relationship and left and found a great guy ?? Doesn’t matter if it was emotional abuse or physical or both ?  People always tell me I will find someone who treats me amazing but with my generation of men I just don’t see it. I’m 27. And seems like men my age just want sex. Prove me wrong.

I was in an abusive relationship from 13 to 17.
I felt all the typical feelings. I didn’t think I was worth anything, let alone real and pure love. I thought I was destined to marry the guy who carelessly mentally/emotionally abused me for years!
And then I met my husband when I was only days away from my 17th birthday. 
It took a lot of hard work together, but I’ve mostly overcome my trauma and he’s been the most amazing man I could’ve ever asked for.
There are truly wonderful men out there. Don’t settle for anything less than what you deserve! (Which is the world 🌎 )

I would like to believe so, but for me, I don’t think so. Even with therapy, I’m not able to make the changes I need to attract the non abusive type of man so I guess I’m just going to be single. I hope you have better luck.

Yes I did but I didnt treat that guy very good but he wasn't perfect either  horrible I know I think you should take time to really heal it takes time because for me I met him soon after my abusive relationship so my head was all messed up still so it ended and I took a long time to reflect on my past and fix my problems and forgive now I have an amazing man and am not worried about the past anymore.

My immediate ex cheated on me for years and tried to gaslight me. He was constantly dismissive of my feelings and thoughts. 
My husband always takes my thoughts and opinions into consideration. He's faithful and loving as can be. We always have open dialogue and he actually knows my needs before I do often. 
It can definitely be done. It just takes getting away from the asshole and staying away, evaluating what you want in life and what you can't stand, and negotiating those things for yourself in the beginning to weed out anyone early on who doesn't want the same thing as you.

I was in an abusive relationship for 2 years when I was in high school. He was emotionally and sexually abusive. In public he'd treat me like garbage and gaslight me and as soon as no one was around he'd rape me. My husband helped me get out of that relationship. We've been together for 4 years now and have 2 beautiful girls together. I believe you will find a great partner after a dark time like that.

That's how it happened for me. I was with an abusive guy for 4 years, it taught what I did NOT want in a partner. I've been married to my amazing husband for over 10 years now. It's important that you look out for signs right away and don't repeat the process of the abusive relationship. Some people get so wrapped up in the new/fresh honeymoon stage of a relationship that they don't see the warning signs smacking them in the face. You have to decide what traits and behaviors are non-negotiables for you and stick to them, because you are your biggest advocate and you deserve nothing but the best!

Eh, the world is mostly good. I'd try focusing on myself and getting the couseling I need from past abuse so I could fully move forward. You seem bitter that all men are bad and that's not true. Sorry you've suffered from abuse, hope you find the help you need. ❤

Honey there are definitely good people out there. Not all people just want sex, you just have to look the right places. Like I honestly find the internet to be one of the worst places to meet people, for every one good person there are five not so great.
