Mirena??!!

Question

I used to use the nuvaring but after my abortion it started to cause pain during sex. I've been off birth control for months and sex doesn't hurt anymore but I desperately need a new birth control. I'm awful at remembering to take a pill and I'm slightly opposed to the shot. Any thoughts?

Don't take the shot. Try BC pills or a different BC method. The shot can decrease your chances of future pregancy. Maybe trying the IUD is an option for you.

I too am terrible at remembering to take pills. I tried the nuva ring but it never seemed to stay put. I've been using mirena for a year now and it's great! It took a couple of months for my body to adjust but after that it's been fine. Maybe you should try it!
