Frustrated rant

So

So

Husband is sick, I'm sick, and toddler is sick. We just transitioned to a toddler bed and I've been standing here outside his door for an hour continually putting him calmly back in bed every time he gets up. I'm exhausted and feel like poop and my husband keeps coughing downstairs every time the toddler finally goes quiet. Losing my mind here. Feel free to judge or be harsh I don't care just needed to post my frustration here. 😂

We used a baby gate for a but just to reinforce the idea and eventually got a thing that sits on the door knob so he can’t open it (for safety! He gets up in the night).

What worked for us is making him promise to stay in bed and closing the door for a few seconds if he doesn’t (he would cry and want the door open).

That is a great suggestion, but unfortunately, my son is happy with the door open and shut and is 0% afraid of being alone or in the dark. He also volunteered to give me his stuffed animals when I told him his "friends" would be confiscated if he got out of bed. He eventually stayed in bed after about an hour or so. I'm hoping it will get easier the longer we continue.
