Relationship ISSUES after getting pregnant?

Has anyone else noticed that when they become pregnant shit just gets WAY harder with all the arguing?
My partner and I have been arguing so much lately. We’ve been so distant lately because having Hyperemesis Gravidarum literally takes over my whole life. No sex. No cuddles or happy times like before. Everything is being sick, being sick and even more sick.
Been sitting in the car for the past 4 hours crying, I just feel like there’s no connection in our relationship anymore.

It's very common, yes, but it's also possible to have the opposite reaction. My husband and I are a very strong and affectionate couple regardless; my being pregnant has only strengthened our bond and kindness towards each other, I think.
I had a couple hormonal moments that had me acting a little silly for an hour or two, but generally speaking it has gone well and I think part of that has been my own attitude going into it.
I knew that I was going to be the one going through massive changes (physically, hormonally, other symptoms, etc) throughout my pregnancy. There is going to be a shift in our family dynamic once our son is born regardless, but for now, I'M the one that's acting and feeling different, not really my husband. So I do my best to not get upset at him for acting "business as usual" when, for him, it IS exactly that for the time being. I'm also fortunate to feel both comfortable and secure enough in my relationship to discuss my concerns and express my needs to my husband and be heard... but, more importantly, I've been making an effort to be gentle with my husband and try to remember that I need to be transparent so he knows how to help me or what he can expect from me as my pregnancy progresses.
Maybe trying to keep that line of communication open with your SO will help you guys resolve some of your issues and keep things positive between you. The stress isn't really going to change after the baby's born. It may look a little different, but you guys will have to work out a system for meeting each other's needs and working as a team in a way that works best for you.
