Implant effects?

I had the birth control implant put in july, and my periods were fine. This month I got my period a week early and I am on day 9, going onto 10. My normal periods are 2-3 days. Any info?

I got the implant July of 2014. Before I got it, I only had periods every 3-4 months for 7 days. When I got it, I bled for a good 7months. No joke. By January/February, I started spotting twice a month for 3-5 days. Once the bleeding stopped, it really wasn't all that bad. I just got it taken out last week because it messed me up mentally and emotionally. Don't let my story scare you though!! All of my friends that have it love it! They had irregular periods for about two months then they stopped all together. It just didn't work for me.

I have the implant and I LOVE it. I get irregular periods but it's so worth how effective and convenient the implant is.

Irregular bleeding is the most common implant side effect. While on the implant your period will be completely random, either in the sense that it may stay normal all through out it, it may go crazy on and off, it may just stop, OR it maybe be any random combination of all! You will not know how your body will react, bc everyone is different, until you get on it. You cannot base or assume your periods will be like anyone else's because they wont.
