Best time of day for a bridal shower?

I’m hosting a bridal shower for a cousin but I’m not sure what time of day would be best. What time of day would you prefer to attend a bridal shower? 
I’ve asked the bride and she has no preference.

I'd do a saturday or sunday around 1-3pm. Most people are free around that time and you can have all kinds of little appetizers for them to pick on so no one expects a full meal. (Those can be expensive if you're doing it alone. If you have help/volunteers for bringing shareable dishes it could totally be doable to have a meal as well)

I would plan the time around what food is provided. If you're planning a light lunch type thing then you can do it around lunch time. If you want to avoid providing a lot of food and want to do snacks or such I'd avoid lunch time. A lot of people assume if you're having around noon that a lunch is planned and will come hungry.

I think the earlier the better. You would maybe get a better turn out if it didn’t take up someone’s whole day.

I prefer them early....like starting at 1130-12 so I can scoot out between 2-3 and still have part of my afternoon. 
What food are you serving? That will help determine the time it should start.

I think mine was like 12:45-2:45 or so!
We served sandwiches and finger food and the timing seemed to work for almost everyone ☺️
