Or your family member. If they're abusing their significant other, call the cops! Don't defend them, don't victim blame, don't be a bystander. The abuser needs to be held accountable. It's not enough to tell the abuser to stop, they will continue. Maybe the SO is trying to leave, but how are they going to leave without support!? And if they have children, do you really think that's a safe and healthy environment for them to live in? How can you live with yourself knowing someone is getting abused, and you can do something to stop that, but you don't? I don't care how long you've known the abuser. Also, just because domestic violence is the norm in your household, or where you're from, doesn't make it right!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! CALL THE COPS!!
