Played more than ate is exactly the point of Baby led weaning so you’re doing great! He’ll get to the actual eating soon.

My LG absolutely loves it. Recommendation is from 6 months. We started early and shes doing fab! They do explore the foods and make lots of mess.... you will know when they start eating from the nappies!

What a cute photo! And avocado is such a great first food. It's just what it's called, they lead the way and sometimes will eat more than other times. Their little bodies know how hungry they are or if they need more milk vs. food. Keep it up mama!

I've been interested in it too! The only problem I see is that they can sometimes take a while to actually consume the food. No one in any of the BLW groups can help me when I ask how they prevent anemia while LO is learning to eat.
