Do you guys get mad when other people refer to your baby as "theirs"?

Personally I cant stand when people, mostly family are like "love my little girl" or "love my babygirl" like um you didn't carry her for nine months, and you dont do the up all nights you have your own kids!

Everyone knows who’s the parents. Be happy and grateful that your kid is loved.

I never realized this was a thing. I don't have kids of my own but I do refer to my nephews as "my boys" because I love them to death! Never would I want to take any credit away from my brother and sister in law.

Only my mom and grandma refer to my son as their baby, which I don’t mind because they see him almost everyday, buy him a lot of stuff and they are both in love with him, and my moms had 4 miscarriages from a few months after I got pregnant to now, so I feel like she uses my son to fill the space of what she lost and I don’t mind it at all. But if someone else where to say it, like my when my SO’s crazy sister does, I get a little irritated.

I call my sisters children my own, she’s grateful that I take them as my own and help her out she’s a young mom but god forbid anything were to happen to her she knows they’re loved and they have people who take them as their own

My little sister calls my cousins baby “my little baby” but my little sister loves him, she is always trying to feed him and take care of him as much as possible when he’s around which is a lot and my cousin doesn’t mind at all, she thinks it’s funny. I even catch myself saying it at times but I take care of him whenever my cousin needs the help, she tells me I’m one of the only people she feels comfortable taking care of him and I feel very happy about that. Also, we haven’t had a baby in the family in such a long time like 8 years so we’re all in love with him lol
