So, I am supposed to get my last hcg blood crawl today from my RE and I honestly dont think I want to go. 1) I'm self pay and it's $160 2) my levels as of Monday were 36 for beta and 511 for progesterone. So, I think I am pretty good. And 3) the tech either has allergies or is sick. Shes been so for the past week coughing sneezing. Losing her voice, and doesn't wear GLOVES for the blood draw!! She literally coughed in her hand and touched my skin!! And i myself am sick ( thinking because I was in close quarters with her from last Friday and monday)and an asthmatic. Like, the office staff doesnt where gloves when handling bio materials. My husband said they didn't even where them when they took his specimen cup.

Ugh!!

UPDATE: I went, and I politely asked her to please put on gloves before the draw. She said ok. No problem. I said I am a kidney transplant recipent, as well as pregnant. She said ok. Yeah, just remind me when you come in. ..you know we get so busy here, we dont have the time..

Then she was saying how she has having trouble feeling my veins because of the gloves. I assured her, that she will find one. And she did..

But I will absolutely be informing the DR ,who owns the practice of what is not being done correctly. I can't help but feel that I got sick from the tech. I started feeling sick on Tuesday. And today this woman's *allergies* magically disappeared she was not coughing sounded fine, not congested

. But I am, I feel like shit. So angry!!

My husband thinks as long as she is wearing gloves with ME . I shouldn't make a big stink about this. He feels that the dr probably knows what's going on with his staff and doesnt care.

The reason I am.annoyed is not only because of being sick now and not believe that this techs * allergies * as she told all patients she had , had allergies last week and this.. but, because this is just unacceptable to me on any level. And I pay out of pocket for my appointments.

My husband thinks as long as I get her to wear gloves while being followed for the next few weeks I shouldn't make waves..
