Driving lessons, are they worth it?

Arguing with my mom cuz I don't want to take driving lessons, I feel like is the same thing but paying for it.

In my state you have take classes before getting your permit. Is it not like that anywhere else?!

Absolutely, way better to learn things properly from an educated instructor than to potentially learn things wrong from a parent or by yourself. 
Where I live there is a lot if courses you have to take with an driving instructor, including driving on ice and snow, night time driving, driving on a highway, roundabouts, city driving, and a bunch more.

Yes. I took one and even though it only lasted a week it helped my parents get a lower insurance rate when I got a car and started driving.

I’m a grown woman and to this day my mom acts a fool when I drive and constantly yells about nothing. It was 10x worse when I was a new driver who was scared. I wasn’t learning a damn thing from her. My 6 hours of driving lessons taught me everything I know

If you don't take drivers ed then you end up paying a hell of a lot more for insurance. They also teach you things you may never think to learn in real life. It's worth it - you'll be a better driver.

i liked having the lessons because my mom was not a good teacher, i hit a curb once and she never let me practice again. so having a trained professional really helped me. plus they went over exactly what i would be tested on so i felt very prepared for the test.

Honestly I didn’t really need the lessons, but it helped because where I live, if you take drivers ed, you get your license a year & a half sooner than if you don’t. At least, that’s how it was like 12 years ago.
