Anyone else here electing for a 39 week induction?

Getting induced at 39 weeks and a couple days!!! So excited, even though he will probably come before then. 😍 August 5th.

I was 20 with my first son induced at 41+5, then once again with my second son at 40+5(age 38). Now pregnant with my first daughter at 40, my doctor said he could induce at 39 weeks because I'm old lol. I've heard of so many complications with inductions before due dates, I think I'm going to hold off til I'm due.

I think I will if I don’t have a medically necessary induction or spontaneous labor by the end of week 39. I have gestational diabetes, and if I stay diet controlled I could go to my due date or a little beyond, but I don’t really want to. I’m due 9/1 and would really prefer baby to have an August birthday so we can choose if we send her to kindergarten at age 5 or 6 and because my oldest has a September birthday and I’d like them to be in different months.

I wouldnt if it wasnt medically necessary. Baby is safe and sound in there want them to be as strong as they can be when they come out. I may have to be induced though due to high bp

I would personally wait. Chance of a vaginal birth is much higher if you go into labour spontaneously.
I was induced 2 days before my due date, and the induction failed, and I needed a C-section.
