Heartbeat on Doppler at 8 weeks? Please read.

Hey y’all, I’m 4 weeks pregnant. I have my first appt August 8th, I’ll be 8 weeks. The receptionist told me I will not be getting an ultrasound UNLESS the doctor cannot find a heartbeat with the Doppler. But then I did some research and saw that it’s very rare to get a Doppler heartbeat that early!!! Is that true? I really really want an ultrasound!

I picked a doctor that does ultrasounds at every appointment for this reason. I want to see my baby every time 😍

I work in an Obstetrics office as a nurse! We don’t use small fetal Doppler’s until the 12th week (but it can be found earlier.. I wouldn’t say 8 weeks though) 
Ultrasound Doppler’s have a higher frequency so they can transmit HR at around 6 weeks.
