What do you say to someone who lost their husband.

I'm not the best with words. I feel so bad. My cousin just lost her husband. 
Any advice?

Just be there. Hug when they need. Listen. Be there.

I would ask her if she needs anything, bring her dinner, just be there to speak to. None of that “I’m so sorry” crap people always do. I haven’t lost my spouse but I’ve lost my brother when he was 18 and mother.

You can’t say anything. The best thing to do is ask if you can help in any. Cook some meals, clean her house or just be there as a friend.
