Think your DUE DATE is wrong?

Anyone else think their due date is off? 
We go by the LMP( actually the first day of your last period you had) which mine was October 29th. 
According to this I’ll be 40 weeks JULY 29th which is my induction date based on be having a healthy first born, circumvallet placenta this time, and my mother having possible heart surgery that I would like to not go into labor during. They told me my due date was AUGUST 4th, but my baby babe has been measuring 2.5 weeks ahead the entire time!!

Lmp is a best guess unless you know your actual ovulation date. It’s likely that you are just having a big baby which is why you’re measuring ahead. 😊 Since most cycles are 28 days, period starts, ovulation 14 days after start of period, then 14 days after ovulation until you get your next period. 2.5 weeks ahead would mean you got pregnancy BEFORE your period. This doesn’t mean that you couldn’t have ovulated before the 14 day mark, some women ovulate 8-12 days after their period starts - just depends on you! 
I know that I ovulated 16 days after the start of my LMP so my due date is 8/21 but should actually be 8/23. My baby is still measuring slightly ahead at 1 week ahead.

Yup! Should be due a week earlier than they put my date at, and surprise! baby is measuring 3 weeks bigger than my assigned due date. As an ob nurse the only point that I would begin to be concerned about the assigned due date vs should be due date is when you've gone postdates, solely because of the fact that the placenta begins to age and can put baby at risk of not receiving adequate nutrients/oxygen.

All due dates are really just guesses when the baby is coming anyways. My dating ultrasound was off by 6 days but they didn’t change my due date bc it wasn’t more than a week off. So I’m 36 weeks rn but technically I’m closer to 35... however when I went in today I’m measuring two weeks ahead🤷🏻‍♀️. I was told by my midwives it’s more like a birth month. You can go into labor 2 weeks before or two weeks after your due date and it’s all perfectly normal. No one can predict the actual day your baby will come though.

Honestly it is just a ball park. Your due date can be within two weeks either way. It’s just a guideline to follow for check ups.

I think my due date was off with my first but I’m feeling like it’s head on this time because she’s measuring exact. Also what they don’t tell us is that we’re pregnant for like 10 months instead of 9 (so I’ve heard) either way I’m not inducing like I did with my son because I hated every moment of it and baby was in no danger.

According to my LMP my due date is August 7th and they have me at August 11th but from my last ultrasound they said the 9th but wanted to keep it at August 11th 🤦🏽‍♀️
