Car seat time?

When did you gals install your car seat and put your bags in the car?

We probably won’t, my hospital is only 15 mins from the house. Last time on day 2 of recovery I sent my husband home to get a bag with the things I didn’t need at the hospital the entire time (car seat, going home outfits, etc) that way it wasn’t sitting in the car.
I’m planning to pack 3 bags. Labor, Recovery, & Going Home so I don’t have to lug everything in to L&D that I don’t need until baby is actually here.

I'm gonna install the base tomorrow since I will be off work and not drive my car much till baby is here!!! 36 weeks and 3 days!!!!
If you do install your carseat I recommend just the base that way if you get into a car accident you only have to buy a new base. They tell you to buy a new carseat if you get into any kind of accident even just a fender bender!!!

I haven't even packed a bag yet lol y'all are so prepared and I'm just like meh we'll figure it out. Hospital is 10 mins away so if I need something I forget I'll send someone for it

Hubs just cleaned the car. Probably won’t put the car seat in for another couple of weeks or when the baby comes. Would like to do it before baby is here because I know I’m going to want to do it myself, I’m a control freak and picky about how it’s done lol

I’m doing mine in a few says. My fiancée works 12 hour shifts so when he is off I am going to completely clean the care, put diaper bag in there and her car seat. Still have to finish packing my hospital bag.

Ive started to pack mine and babies bag. Will probably finish this week. Will not be putting the car seat in until I have the baby. May just have my mom or husband go get it from our house when they take a piece of clothing with babies scent on it for our dog to get used to.

I’m putting the car capsule and base in once I’ve taken the car to get a wash and valet, so that I know everything is super clean.
Usually I do it myself but we just got an SUV a few months ago and my pregnant ass can’t clean it properly 😂

Literally the same day we brought baby home, it really isn't that hard to do. But I keep the car seat in the car. All bags newborn, Mine, and my toddler bag in the crib with everything ready. I guess it all depends if you are always out the house to keep them in the car.
