I'm free!!!!

I am finally free! I broke free from an abusive relationship. It took me 5 years to realize he wasn't good for me. It was a very toxic relationship. When he was sober he never laid a hand on me but when he was drunk it was a different story. Always getting slapped choked pushed around always had bruises the next few days. He even called the cops on me I got arrested for touch or strike becuase I slapped him twice. Yet he choked me slapped me pushed me I had marks he didnt have a scratch on him I finally had enough. The last and final time he got physical I was recently choked made me snap and made me think I could die because he would not let go. I wanted to call the cops and he said you do that I will make sure they arrest you again because you got arrested already for battery. It pissed me off so much I was like what a coward. Thank God I did not die! I am now moving on. Girls ladies females if your bf man husband hubby drinks and puts his hands on you it's not right! Doesnt matter if he apologizes after. Drinking is not an excuse to get physical. No women deserves to go through what I did. Granted he was a gentleman when he was sober. But still that's not an excuse. I hope this will help someone that's in a similar situation as my self. Majority of the time if they hit you once they will do it again. I understand everyone makes mistakes and that's what I thought it was but it was a continuous thing. He never stopped drinking and has no intentions of stopping he is now drinking on a daily basis has no job about to loose everything! At first it was on the weekends and it just got worse and worse. Ladies things will get better once you leave no matter how much you care and love him or how long you were together.
