Weird wailing cat ritual??

EVERY SINGLE MORNING after I give my cat his breakfast, he takes two bites, walks away and starts pacing around the house crying and wailing his head off LOUDLY. I thought at first maybe he wanted attention, but when I pet him, he’ll walk away and just continue howling in some other room. This goes on for about 10 minutes, then he stops, comes back to his bowl, continues eating, and then goes to sleep on the couch. He only does this at breakfast. WTF is he doing?
