Fetal Doppler’s not to be used in early pregnancy

Hey ladies,

I just wanted to put this out there bc I had never heard of it before until this pregnancy, and I’ve seen a lot of posts about home fetal Doppler use. My midwives haven’t used a Doppler on me, and said they won’t until I’m in my 2nd trimester bc the Doppler can be harmful to the baby in the first trimester. We’ve checked the heart beat with an ultrasound, but that’s it. I’m not sure how harmful it is, but I always prefer being more cautious in pregnancy. Just wanted to share this.
