Father, son, Holy Spirit. 3 different people?

I’m having this comical argument. I am actually not a Christian but I was raised heavily in Christianity and was taught this religion from womb up non stop. Argument:

That the father, son, and Holy Spirit are 3 different beings.

Therefore you cannot say Jesus created the earth, because god did. Jesus is God’s son, so he had no say in earths creation.

To me, that is wrong.

I was taught that the father, son, and Holy Spirit are all part of one being. None of those parts came before the other, all parts are eternal and equal. When it comes down to it there is ONE god, one creator. Therefore all parts of the trinity are equal to him. Despite language used throughout the Bible whether it was mentioning Jesus or god; it’s all one being. This is what I was taught, and I’m wanting to know if others are being taught differently😊

Answers are abbreviated because they’re too long.

Answer 1: trinity= ONE all knowing god.
