This sounds like a weird question but. Did your Significant other go to your first ultrasound?

I’m contemplating on having my husband come to my ultrasound at 8 weeks. Obviously I want him there, but I also want to know everything is okay with baby. (Yes he knows I’m pregnant) but I just am more of the go alone type. Is that weird? Also- I have a lot of pregnant friends. So if they happen to be at the office and see my husband there they will know. But if I go alone it could be for anything.

If he can come, bring him. It’s such a surreal moment in life. My hubby and I were so happy and cried together when we saw our little heartbeat. It should be a shame for him to miss out.

My husband comes to all of my appointments, even when I’m just having blood drawn lol we’ve been through 2 miscarriages and he’s my biggest support, so I love having him there and he loves being there. This is something we’re in together, I would always want him there I feel like 🤷🏽‍♀️ but not everyone/every marriage is the same

Just want to say I don’t think you and your husband are weird at all. My husband makes every appt he can of mine and our children’s. He’s in no way controlling. He just likes to be there. Nothing wrong with that.

My husband and I tend to go to all different types of doctors appointments together whenever our schedules allow, not just baby things. I realize some people think that is weird/controlling and sometimes that part embarrasses me, but for us it is a really sweet way to show support. I have a lot of appointments for "routine" checks related to previous skin cancer. There have been a couple of those appointments I thought would be really simple, that ended up resulting in procedures and I was really thankful to have him there.
Basically, don't worry about what your friends will think. This is your husband's baby too, so he deserves to have his opinion considered. If you both want him there, he should be there. If you feel extremely strongly about going alone, he should go - but I think if you did feel that strongly you probably would not have made this post. 
Plus, once baby gets here you won't have a lot of alone time. As lame as it sounds, we use doctors appointments as a way to spend alone time together in the car and going out to lunch as kind of a mini date away from our older kids.

My partner insisted to schedule the appointments on the days that would go along with his shifts. He was and is more nervous and excited than me when we have a appointment 😅. He felt disappointed the last time he couldn’t come along cause he was in Dubai for work. Lucky the time difference were in our favor and I FaceTime with him during the echo so we would both know the gender the same time. The doctor had a good laugh with us when hearing our joyful laugh, especially my partner enthusiasm 
But I don’t think is weird at all to go alone, especially when your partner agrees with it.

My first couple appointments I didn’t go alone. Either my husband or my mom went because with my first pregnancy I went alone and had a missed miscarriage that was discovered at the doctor. I didn’t want that to happen again and to be alone.

I didn’t let my DH into any of my vaginal ultrasounds. No problem with him watching me give birth but there’s something about watching me have a plastic probe inserted between my legs I really didn’t go in for 😂
He came to my first abdominal ultrasound before that I just gave him the photos 👍🏻

My boyfriend didn't come to any of my appointments besides my glucose test because I didn't want to sit there for a hour and be bored, he did come to two private 3D ultrasounds though. It wasn't a big deal to me and he works long hours at night so I wanted him to be able to sleep after he got off of work. It might sound weird but I wanted to be alone for the first one just in case anything was wrong so I could process it by myself.
