Dating apps - how do you feel about them?

I’m 27 & single. Everyone tells me to try dating apps, but I’m not sure if they’re for me.

I have a love hate relationship with them. I love them for meeting new people, you get genuinely lovely people on there, BUUUUUTT you have to wade through the creeps first. Just be sensible about meeting people, get numbers, screen them, meet in public, tell others where you’re going etc. (If you have someone’s number and put it into Facebook messenger (normally with area code) it will show up their profile if linked).

A few years back when I was single I used tinder from time to time. It’s alright but never got nothing out of it. But my friend met her current bf on there sooo. I say just give dating apps a try u got nothing to lose.

Okay so I'm 19 and obviously have a limited perspective on it. But honestly I tried the whole meeting people in everyday life and I tried the asking friends to set me up thing too. Neither worked well for me. Then one sad, lonely day I sat down, downloaded Tinder, and set up my profile. I not only felt more confident when in the first day I'd talked to several matches, but I also added my social media to it and gained some friends that I still talk to occasionally. Now, it wasn't magic and I did wait almost 6 months before even meeting the main guys I was talking to, but it was worth it. Tomorrow will be my 4 month anniversary with a guy who started out just being another guy on Tinder and is now the love of my life and my best friend.

I met my fiancé about 10 years ago on a website called tagged, we were just friends at first as I was a good bit away, meet up 2 years later and been together since engaged 2 years next month and 8 years together August 💖 it can happen for some online and for some people it not their thing x
