Epidural...I’m not gonna be a hero here! I just wanna get through this with the least amount of pain and stress on my body and baby! With my daughter, my body fought my contractions so much that I wasn’t progressing. I had a “goal” of getting to 5cm on my own. At 3.5cm my doc told me if I wanted one, to just get one so that I could relax. We’d been at things for 9+hrs and I was not getting any further than a 3.5 and it was wearing me out too quickly. After I got the epidural, I was able to rest a bit and even tho it took another 4+hrs to get me to a 4, I went from a 4 to a 10 in an hour. If I had waited it to my 5cm goal, I would’ve been screwed! So I’m just going into this with an open mind and I’ll get it when it feels right...no goals this time!!

Definitely planning for epidural again. With my first I got it within 20 mins of getting to the hospital 😂 luckily my husband works at the hospital I'm delivering at as an anesthesia tech, so on our way in the first time he just called the best of the best that he works with to come hook me up. I'm counting on that service again!

Did my first unmedicated. Only even started asking for any drugs in the last few minutes before having to start pushing. By then they can’t give you an epidural anyway. So I don’t see the point this time around. I’ll survive.

Gonna try it all natural. My mom had four kids completely natural and I'm hoping to be as strong as she is 💪 but, we will see. I may end getting the epidural if I just can't take it, or if I'm in labor for a crazy amount of time and just need to get some rest before pushing.
