Possible twins?!

Question

I had an early scan yesterday (history of mc (4) and ep (1)). Should be 6+5. 
The baby we saw measured 6w. But then they saw another sac!! They couldn’t tell if there is another baby, and I have to go back to be rescanned in two weeks!!
Is it likely to be twins?!! Could it just be measuring behind? Could that account for the baby we saw measuring 5 days behind?!! I think I may go nuts over the next two weeks!

A second sac could be a lot of things. Another baby, vanishing twin, a bleed. Unfortunately there’s no way of knowing until your next ultrasound. Good luck!

Hm. It’s hard to say now, but when I had my first ultrasound at 6w5d, I saw both sacs with a baby in each pretty easily. Sadly, seeing two sacs this early can mean a lot of things, like the previous commenter said. If it is twins, there’s the possibility that nothing was seen in the second sac because of vanishing twin. I also had a pretty big subchorionic hemorrhage that looked somewhat like a third sac, but smaller. Sadly, you’ll just have to wait it out. I hope they get you in again soon enough, as I’m sure your mind is spinning trying to find out.
