Cheapest car insurance for a young driver?

I have like two speeding tickets from over 2 years ago but all the quotes are so high. I don’t know who else to ask

Every 6 months I go through every big insurance carrier and get rates. This last time was so weird because I was quoted anywhere from $1000/6 months to $250/6 months. Of course I took the 250 deal (Geico) but I thought it was really weird to have such a broad range of cost.
So I would go online and get a quote for the *same* coverage through Geico, progressive, All state, liberty mutual, state farm (honestly they're always so expensive for me), the general, and others I can't think of right now. It takes an hour or two but it's worth the savings to me. 🤷
Every 6 months I lower my payment (I pay for 6 months in full, you get a discounted rate doing that) and I've gone from about 800 to 250 in about 2 or 3 years.
