Induced due to small baby?

My baby has consistently measuring less than a week behind. My OB ordered another ultrasound for 38 weeks. Has anyone been induced due to their baby measuring small?

They will if they determine it’s due to the baby not getting enough nutrients or there being issues with the placenta.

My baby is being monitored for growth and it's what determines when I'll be induced.. I have an abnormally shaped placenta that can keep the baby from getting all the necessary nutrients. She had been growing steadily and has been "average"... But this week at 36 Weeks, she's almost like slowed down her growth.. so my Obgyn has me going in a little earlier than the typical week wait to see if I need to be induced or not. So maybe if they see your baby is small because she isn't getting the necessary nutrients, then that's why they want her out, in order to get those nutrients to her.

At the beginning of both my pregnancy because I'm at risk for cord clotting I was told if bbay is measuring small or not growing well I'd be induced early so far my first I went into labour naturally at 39+3... This one I'm 35 weeks and so far baby is growing great. But yes it is completely possible to be induced early because of small baby as that can be a sign the baby isn't getting the nutrients they need to grow.. 
My boyfriend was born at 30 weeks, due to being small. He was 1lb 10oz at birth 
My full term 6lb baby weighed 3lbs at his 29 week scan and this baby weighed 3lbs 9oz at 30week scan just to show how small my boyfriend was.

I’m measuring small. Not particularly small but been having growth scans from 28 weeks and she’s not gaining at a steady rate. I will have my final scan at 36+4 where my date might be moved forward. I’m booked for a section at 39+4

I haven’t personally, but my sister was induced two weeks early because of IUGR. 
My oldest was small for gestational age (5 lbs 12 oz at 39 weeks) when she was born. So my doctor watches me more closely because of it now.
