Moving baby to own room?

I’m pretty sure someone posted this question in here not too long ago but I couldn’t find it so sorry for posting it again! I’m curious what everyone is doing when it comes to moving your babe to his/her own room! My little one is 8 weeks and slept through the night from 8:30 pm to 5 am every night this week so I’m wondering if it’s a good time to move her or best to let her stay with us until a certain point?

I keep my baby with me until 6 months at least due to SIDS risk. I am a paranoid 3rd time momma like that though. Did it with my other 2 as well.

I believe the recommendation is 6-12 months in the parents’ room. My first slept through the night at 8 weeks and we kept him in our room until 4 months, only moved him because his sleeping noises were obnoxious and keeping me awake when I had to work in the morning. This baby I hope we can get at least to 6 months, so far he’s much quieter than our first.

My LO has always slept in his crib in his room. We have a monitor and a camera set up in his room. He wakes one or two times at night. He will be 2 months on Tuesday.

I won’t be doing it for a very long time yet as it doesn’t feel natural to me. I think they say they should be with you until 12 months to reduce SIDS. I’ll probably go longer than that! But I know a lot of parents do it earlier. Just do what feels natural to you x

I’ve heard/read it’s best to have them in the room with you till 6 months but shoot if my son (2months) was sleeping that well then I would probably start putting him in his own room.. he still wakes up like 2 times a night but I would just have a monitor set up of course to keep an eye on baby .

Moved my lo at six weeks. Best thing we could of done. Hated her bassinet, husband could not get use to her sounds and which ones meant something. His snores kept her all ways somewhat awake.  Loved her naps in her crib in her room. Decided to try it out. Slept six hours the first night and I was not going back and it steadily increased from there. She now sleeps the entire night. Pretty much 8-8 Do what you feel is best for your family. Yes they recommend six months and I thought that I would do exactly that but everyone’s sleep suffered for it. Do what you feel is best for your baby. Your not going to get a lot of support asking other know is all Mothers on here. Take proper precautions...monitor ect

My LO will be 2 months tomorrow and we are slowly transitioning him into his room. He will take naps in his crib during the day but doesn’t like it at night, I think it’s too big for him. Do we moved his bassinet into
His room and he has done it twice this week only waking twice to eat (one night he wasn’t having it and we just moved the bassinet back into our room). I’m transiting him because I’ll be going back to work soon and I want to start doing it little by little right now, husband likes to lay in bed and watch TV before bed 🙄🙄 and snores a lot so I think it’ll help my LO sleep better once he is used to his room. We have a monitor and camera so I feel ok about it.
