Is placenta encapsulation worth it??

Please share your experience if you have done this for previous pregnancies! I'm on the fence because it's pricey in my area.

It is not reccommended, and there are even warnings from the CDC about the dangers of eating encapsulated placenta. Because there is zero regulation concerning the encapsulation, you have zero guarantee it is properly done or that the contents are what they claim. The CDC issued warnings after several women became extremely ill due to unsafe placental encapsulation.
Considering there is no licensing or oversight to ensure safe handling of the placenta during the encapsulation process, I wouldn't trust it.
