I had a csection with our first and the next morning, we got the nurses coffee and donuts! They LOVED it! I was thinking of making a snack basket this time around and a couple things of coffee and powerade! We were going to do bananas, apples, granola bars, etc! That may change but it is what we are thinking!

I asked my husband about this as he works at the hospital where I'll be delivering (he actually assisted on my epidural for first baby). I'm not sure if it's different for nurses versus other staff (he's an anesthesia tech) but he said his department is not allowed to accept gifts at all.

I'm having sugar cookies made that look like scrub tops for the nurses.

My mom is going to bring treats from our bakery.

I made 8 goodie bags and put them in a little organizer box surrounded with nice chocolates, instant hot and iced coffee, and suckers. This way I can give it to all of them and it’s not exactly a “personal gift” to just the nurses who helped me, all the nurses deserve it!
