My little man who was due July 14th, made his appearance on July 18th at 06:26. After my third membrane sweep on the 16th early labour started about 10 hours later! Early labour for approx 24 hours, and active labour for 9ish! Went unmedicated until I hit 7/8cms contractions increased, waters hadn't broke yet and at that point I was so exhausted and progression was taking forever! They suggested to break my waters and I knew the contractions would increase with intensity! My first I went unmedicated and I thought I would be able to do it the second time around - NOPE!!! The epidural was a godsend I was able to "relax" I could still feel contractions but they were bearable! 2 hours later it was time to push! Pushed for about 45 minutes... Baby ended up getting stuck just passed his shoulders arms would not come out, he was purple and no budging! The doctors had their hands inside me as well trying to grab him, I let out one big scream(because holy ouch, even with the epidural lol) they flipped me onto my back/shoulders with my legs towards the ceiling, one big final push and he "sky rocketed" out as the doctors put it 🤣 they put him on my chest and we got a good cry out of him. He was good to go! 8lbs even, 19.29 inches long! Totally exhausted but mommy, daddy and brother are all so in love 🥰
