If your 16 year old daughter wanted to be a model and have you sign her up for a model agency would you do it? Or tell her she can wait until she’s 18?

If she wants to persue it seriously as a possible career, I'd let her start now. A good agency will do a free assessment of her suitability (it's not called that but I can't remember what it's actually called) which you could go along to.

No!! I had an eating disorder I struggled with for yearssssss from being a model as a teenager. I’d never say that’s a good idea

A lot of models tell horror stories of this profession. Just search for some interviews. First of, this career will destroy her self confidence and will probably make her hate her body and cause an eating disorder. Even underweight girls are told that they are too fat. It’s insane! So dangerous.. What’s worse is that girls get sexually harassed all the time, they get force to sleep for jobs, etc..

This opinion is based on a TV series I’ve gotten into recently called Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce. One of the main characters said she started modeling at 14 and was taken advantage of. If I were you, I would make it a point to be present at all shoots, etc. Because I’m sure your daughter is beautiful and I’d hate for anyone to take advantage of her for any reason.
