If you went past your due date, did you have to be induced or did you go into labor naturally?

I’m at 40+2 now and scheduled for induction at 41 weeks. Just curious how many women went into labor on their own before their induction date.

I was due to be induced on a Tuesday but my waters broke Saturday morning. I didn’t have a stretch and sweep he just decided to come 😊

I was induced at 41+3 for being over due.   I was pushing back against the doctors big time to go longer.  I’m glad I held out as long as I did - I think any earlier and baby would have been a csection for failed induction.  My labor was 40 hours (12 from when they broke my water). To be fair my natural labor was about 36 hours but I think baby just wasn’t quite ready. There was nothing aging or failing with my placenta and baby was just over 7lbs.  Anything from 38-42 weeks is normal.  I think obs and midwives get antsy when you hit 41 weeks because of malpractice not looking at your best interests. I was induced at 40+5 and he was born the next day...he was being stubborn lol

My water broke on my due date and I got induced the next morning at 7am baby girl arrived the day after at 9:39am! I gave birth at 40+2
