I can’t vent to my husband so I’m going to vent here.... (my husband already doesn’t care for my mother) we are having a gender reveal party today for our second (and final) baby. No one knows the sex including us.... we are having the party at 1 and told everyone to arrive then. My husband has spent two days cooking for this event (including getting three hours of sleep tonight because he’s been smoking pork) so we wanted everyone to eat after they get here, then do the reveal around 2. My mother just called and told me she wanted me to do the reveal after they got there and i told her no we were waiting until after everyone ate. She went on to say she’ll just go around to hurry everyone while they eat and that her and my dad will show up later since we aren’t doing it right away. I’m absolutely furious. She does this with every event i have (during my wedding planning we didn’t speak for two months because of this) it’s either her way or she’ll do something dramatic. I feel like my fun day is already ruined. Have you ladies ever dealt with an issue like this and how did you handle it?!
