I'm cloth diapering and really like the pocket style. They keep poop off the insert, and the covers clean a lot easier in my opinion. At night I double up the inserts (double the absorbancy) so he can make it through the night in one diaper. I bought Bum Genius, Weegreco, and Mama Koala brands. From those three the Mama Koala have been my favorite. Less expensive than the Bum Genius but just as good, and come in TONS of adorable patterns 😁. I'm a first time mom, and am still learning with them, but have been using them for a month and a half and love them! No diaper rashes ever in them. I currently own 18, so I do laundry every other day. I would like to get another 6 pack so I could get through to every 3 days... But haven't wanted to spend the money yet. Initial investment is kind of high, but it doesn't take very long for it to be worth it over disposables!

To me, it’s worth it to get a few of each kind. It was hard for me to know what I liked until I used it. And sometimes different diapers are good for different situations. So far my favorite has been Osocozy diaper flats in oragami fold with a snappi. At home when I can watch him I just leave it at that since we also do Elimination Communication. When we’re out or busy I put a cover over it. (I also use pocket diapers as covers. 🤷🏼‍♀️) At night I use a bamboo insert, a prefold, and a cover. I got all my stuff from Amazon—Alva Baby, Nora’s Nursery, BabyGoal, Osocozy, and Humble Bebe. I say just jump in and have fun! 😁🙏🏻

I use Alva Baby OS pocket diapers and have been very satisfied. If you do go the Alva Baby route, don’t order them from Amazon. Order directly from alvababy.com.

Fitteds, the entire insert is the diaper. But these require a cover over them. I'll post pictures in the thread.

I've seen a lot of people say the covers are a good option. When the insert gets peed on you can do a quick wipe up and reuse the same cover with a new insert. Absorbency is customizable. I like the pockets, requires a bit of time to prep them but the absorbency is also customizable. There is also a thin layer separating baby from the insert, but requires a new diaper between each change. The AIO is where the diaper insert is already sewn in/snaps on and off. I believe they may need change after each use & I don't know if absorbency can be customizable.
