If your mom and grandma had miscarriages around 9 weeks would that increase my chances of a miscarriage?
My mom just told me they both did. I’m 8 weeks and now I’m nervous!

Ugh don't listen to them! I don't understand why women would tell pregnant women about chances of them miscarrying! Like that's already on our minds! When I told my aunt I was expecting and 8 weeks along she told me that another family was pregnant and miscarried at 12 weeks, "just to let me know". The fact that you are here today and you were NOT miscarried says something. If you Google "miscarriage odds" one of the sites that pops up gives you the odds of you miscarrying depending on how far along you are. It's like datayze.com something. It really helped reassure me when I was pregnant.

After 6 weeks the odds of miscarrying reduce drastically it’s like 1/4 before that and then goes down to about 2%. 8 weeks is great don’t stress

I've had recurrent losses (13 total my mom never had one and my grandmother had a still birth). I have a friend who is an only child her mom had recurrent pregnancy loss and she never had an issue she has 4 healthy beautiful boys. 
I asked my fertility specialist she said although it can be related there isn't any scientific research to prove it.

This could be a mere coincidence or there is a genetic factor. A very good example is me actually. Every woman on my mother's side has had several issues getting pregnant, miscarriages, and stillborns. We all got tested and we have Factor 5 leiden, which is a genetic blood clotting disorder and we also all have PCOS oddly enough. I'm 13 weeks pregnant now and was put on a baby aspirin regime at 8 weeks and will likely have to be on blood thinners later on.
Bring this up to your OB so they can discuss if this is a concern for your pregnancy.

Not unless there is a genetic link to the miscarriages. Most of the time it just happens because something is wrong with the fetus and the pregnancy isn’t viable.

Seeing as they were eventually able to have kids (since you exist), there shouldn’t be a genetic reason for you to have a miscarriage. I had one and my mom never had one. It’s just based on odds.

I read an article one time that said it may run in families, but they can also be random. Have you mentioned it to your doctor? If everything is looking good for you I would try not to stress!
