We were supposed to take a family vacation that started on July 18th and ended July 28th. We made arrangements with our nextdoor neighbors to look in on our cats and plants while we were gone and everything was set!

Well today July 21st my neighbor calls and says that they haven't been able to make it over to the house to check on the cats and that somethings have come up and they won't be able to look in on them at all.

So my cats have been at home 3 days with no one there to make sure they have food, water or to change their litter.

So we cut our vacation short and drive the 4 hours back home because we aren't about to let our cats starve or be covered in their own feces. Once we get home and open the door we are hit with the overwhelming odor of cat poop.

First thing my husband does is go straight to the room with their litter box..... Some how the door to their litter room was shut and locked, we believe the cats accidentally did this while playing because they've done it before.

Well my husband gets the door open, and the litter is fresh as can be. Not a single trace of cat poop or pee in any of the boxes. (We'd just changed it right before we left.)

So now we're wondering where the hell the smell is coming from.... My bath tub.... It was coming from my motherfucking bath tub!!

We assume they'd been locked out since right before we left and took over my bath tub as their litter box.

Tbh I can't be to mad at the cats 🤷🏻‍♀️ Atleast it wasn't on the carpets or in the clothes hamps or somewhere worse.

However I am pissed at my neighbor and can't wait to hear his explanation as to why my cats where left alone for 3 days.
