Breastfeeding sucks so much I honestly don’t know how we survived as a species.

I stared out with the goal of exclusivity breastfeeding both my kids. Neither would latch and instead would just scream the entire time I was trying to give them the boob.

Eventually I ended up just formula feeding them. It turns out a lot of people have this trouble so how did any of us survive before recently? Why is so hard for humans to nurse? I used to live on a farm and I never saw a baby refuse to nurse. Not once. Sometimes mothers wouldn’t have milk it wouldn’t let them nurse, but the babies always knew what to do.

Crazy to think that in the past my babies might have just died due to refusing to eat.
