Has anyone had an abortion before?

I myself am a teen and don’t have sex, so im not worried about getting pregnant, but I still am so curious about abortion. Is it a big deal? Does it change your life? Do you feel bad about it? Let me know details if you had one before

You’re better off asking in the Pro-Choice group. Abortion topics tend to bring out the worst people. 
That said, one in four women will have an abortion in their lifetimes. They are from all ages. Some are already mothers. Some never want to be mothers. It’s a deeply personal choice. 
I would argue that a pregnancy is life changing whether that pregnancy results in a child or not. 
Sometimes choosing abortion means and person can keep living their lives and ultimately becoming more prepared for parenthood in the future if they so choose. 
The most frequent reported feeling after an abortion is relief. People are relieved to no longer be pregnant when they didn’t want to be. But also an abortion is a loss, so people often grieve that loss too. That doesn’t mean it was a wrong or bad choice though. It just means it’s hard.

Most people feel relief after an abortion! But every situation is different . There is a lot of media hype that pushes fear and the conservatives who push shame and judgement and fear in so many people for SO many things. Around 1/3 of pregnancies become miscarriages - often the woman doesn’t know she’s pregnant - so if you find yourself wishing you were in that 1/3rd - it’s ok to take a pill or go to a clinic the procedure when done early on takes only 5 SECONDS!

The most important thing is what YOU think about abortion and what you think is acceptable for you and the possible child you may have one day. I understand you want more information on the subject. I would encourage you to do your research on the various abortion procedures, the laws that are in place in various states, messages from abortion providers and messages from pro life organizations, and see how they all align with your sensibilities. I know you are not having sex, but one day that may change, and your understanding of what abortion is and what it does is just as important as your decisions around the partner(s) you choose and the contraceptive choices you make. With the choice to be sexually active you are risking yourself both physically and emotionally, and depending on your world view, you may also be risking a child physically.
I think it can be generally agreed that the goal is that you are never in a situation where you are considering abortion as an option. When you make the choice to have sex, you should only do so after taking the steps you want to protect yourself against pregnancy (unless you plan to try for a baby) and STIs... and also have sex with the full knowledge that these methods can fail, and are you with a partner you would feel comfortable raising a child with. I would give this advice to both my daughter and my son, so since you asked...

Abortion is all about you and what you can handle. It’s nobody’s choice but your own. Everyone can have their own views and judge someone else quite easily. BUT no one knows your situation.

I had one. I was 17 and had zero support. Never had a job. No high school diploma. Nothing. All I had was my mom. She was abusing pain meds and getting drunk every single night. I did not want to have an abortion. But I literally could provide nothing and didn’t know of any available resources at the time. 
Now I’m a nurse married to a good man. We have a house and an eight month old child. I can give our baby a safe home, clothes, formula, medical insurance, toys… I can provide a stable life for my baby now. I look at my baby and just want to give him the world. I couldn’t imagine having gone through with my pregnancy as a teen and not being able to provide for my baby. 
I still think of it though. That baby would turn 9 this December. I wonder if it would have been a boy or girl. What type of personality they would have had. Abortion wasn’t an easy way out.

Yes it changed my life
No I don't regret it.  
Yes I'd make the same choice if I had to   .
It was physically and emotionally painful and also very expensive ($475)
I did the abortion pill not the surgical abortion.
