First time getting a pap smear today, what should I expect?

I have an appointment today to get a pap smear. I'm pretty nervous because I don't know what to expect. Got a lot things running through my mind. What should I wear? Should I shave? no one wants hair down there. Should I hold me pee? Is it gonna hurt? What if I have to fart? Lmao 
I've also had a VERY bad yeast infection (I think it's one but at this point I don't know) going on for the past 8 months (I know, I know I should have gone a lot sooner) 
What should I expect for something like that? 
What should I expect? And will they do my birth control also? I'm needing a little reassurance here ladies lmao

I just had my first one done so I get all the questions you have 😂. For starters, they will ask you if you need to pee several times before starting so they want you to pee before hand. But if you think they’re going to do any urinalysis ask at the check in desk. As for the pap, basically just go as you feel comfortable... I had no idea I was getting one so I was hella unprepared and wasn’t shaved 😬 but it was fine. They leave the room so you can get undressed and into a robe thing, then they come back in and have you spread your legs and they put this metal thing in you to stretch you vagina open so they can swap your cervix, it’s a little uncomfortable but it wasn’t really painful or anything, they also did a breast exam on me which was kinda like a weird boob massage idk 😂... and they also said they recommend std testing for people in my age group so I just got it becasue it doesn’t hurt to be safe, and that was just an extra swab before they took out that metal thing, it was awkward but not as terrible as I expected it to be. As for the yeast infection, I’d mention it to them in advance and they’ll probably prescribe you something, also they will prescribe you birth control if you mention you need it! Good luck!

It will be fine basically they will do a pelvic exam but in addition use a little tool to touch around your cervix area it’s not terrible but it obviously does not feel good... I always shower before going to the hump because I’m super self conscious it doesn’t matter if you shave some people go full bush as far as the yeast infection make sure you mention it although I’m sure they will notice hold your pee until you go to the front desk and ask if they need a urine sample
